Recycling trash and making trash into treasured ART!
It all started on my walks on the downtown streets of St. Augustine and at my job at the Computer Store.
Attracted by shiny objects, metal pieces and circuit boards as well as RAM and CPU'S from junk computers, scraps in construction dumpsters, discarded papers, dried flowers, broken jewelry and other "art supplies" such as hubcaps,
license plates, altoid boxes, cds, styrofoam and also junk jewelry parts, beads and items people give me or materials
I find at the local Trinity Thrift Store. I started incorporating found objects as my art and basically working with trash
and turning these objects into art. I really like the idea of repurposing and celebrating these objects and giving them a new use, a new purpose and making something beautiful. This opens up a dialog about recycling and might help the viewer think more creatively as well as realize the accessability and you don't have to have alot of moneyt to make art
